Jennifer Lopez proved she owns a Birkin bag for every occasion as she spent the weekend with her 18-year-old stepdaughter, Violet Affleck.

On Saturday, the “Can’t Get Enough” singer was spotted grabbing ice cream with Violet—whom Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner—during an outing in the Hamptons. The two showed off their different takes on casual style as they strolled around with one of Violet’s friends.

For the occasion, Lopez channeled the ‘70s with a sleeveless white babydoll blouse and bell-bottom jeans, which flared out over her woven sandal wedges. As the tan heels added a few inches to the Atlas actor’s height, a pair of large geometric glasses brought her psychedelic look to the next level. The dark frames matched her signature gold hoop earrings.

With a small ice cream cone in hand, Lopez seemed to be making the most of her time off in the Hamptons. The sweet treat, however, wasn’t her only standout accessory. In keeping with her love—or rather, infatuation—of Birkin bags, the actor carried a rare Osier Wicker & Swift Picnic Birkin style released in 2023. With a wicker structure and brown leather details, the $75,000 bag fit in perfectly with J.Lo’s luxe Hamptons look.

Meanwhile, Violet opted for a breezy ensemble, which included a cropped pink tee and a tiered pink skirt with a red floral pattern. She tied a light pink ribbed sweater around her waist, and on foot, wore a pair of white leather sneakers from Veja. A stack of multicolor charm bracelets decorated her arm, while she topped her look off with a white face mask.

This week, the 18-year-old spoke out against a proposed mask ban in Los Angeles, sharing that she had “contracted a post-viral condition in 2019.” As seen in a video posted to X, Affleck gave a minute-long speech on Tuesday at a meeting of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.

“I’m okay now, but I saw firsthand that medicine does not always have answers to the consequences of even minor viruses,” she said. “The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown that into sharp relief. One in 10 infections lead to long Covid, which is a devastating neurological cardiovascular illness that can take away people’s ability to work, move, see, and even think.”

She then introduced a set of propositions that would “confront the long Covid crisis.”

“I demand masks availability, air filtration, and far-UVC light in government facilities—including jails and detention centers—and mask mandates in county medical facilities,” she said. “You must expand the availability of high-quality free tests and treatment and, most importantly, the county must oppose mask bans for any reason.”

Affleck concluded, “[Mask bans] do not keep us safer. They make vulnerable members of our community less safe and make everyone less able to participate in Los Angeles together.”
